Sea freight

Sea freight has the lowest cost for large volumes and long routes. We handle everything from container booking and port coordination to clearance and final delivery.

What this service includes

Full container load (FCL)

20' and 40' containers: standard, high cube, reefer and open top.

Less than container load (LCL)

For smaller volumes: you pay only for the space your cargo takes.

Bulk and project cargo

Heavy equipment, dry bulk and out-of-gauge cargo.

Bill of lading and documents

Issuing and tracking the bill of lading, and aligning documents with shipper and consignee.

Port coordination

Following discharge, port storage and container free time to avoid demurrage.

Onward by rail or road

Moving cargo from the port to its final inland destination by train or truck.

Which shipments is it best for?

Bulky and heavy cargo, non-urgent goods, raw materials, machinery and consumer goods in volume. If time is critical, consider air or rail as well.

Common questions

Is FCL or LCL better for me?

If your cargo fills about half a 20' container or more, FCL is usually cheaper and faster. For less, LCL is a good fit.

How long does sea freight take?

Depending on the route, from about two weeks for regional lanes to six weeks or more for long routes, plus clearance time.

What is demurrage and how do I avoid it?

It is charged once the container's free time at the port runs out. Having documents ready before the vessel arrives keeps it to a minimum.
